Five wins in six for Arsenal, two for Leeds United, and that is the gap Saturday's Premier League meeting at the Emirates Stadium begins from. Mikel Arteta's side have taken 15 points from those six games against 9 for Daniel Farke's Leeds. The goal columns are tighter than that sounds, though: Arsenal have scored 10 and conceded 6, Leeds have scored 11 and conceded 9.

How have Arsenal been playing?

Won five, drew none, lost one. The defeat is the one everybody remembers: 0-3 away to Brighton & Hove Albion on 19 September, which is Arsenal's most recent match and came 21 days before this one.

What came before it was a long run of winning on the road. Arsenal won 1-0 at Aston Villa, 1-0 away to SSC Napoli in the UEFA Champions League, 2-0 away to Sunderland and 4-2 away to Ipswich Town in the EFL Cup. Only one of the six was at home, the 2-1 win over Chelsea on 6 September.

So this is a side that has barely played in front of its own crowd and still arrives on 15 points from six.

How have Leeds United been playing?

Leeds have won 2, drawn 3 and lost 1 of their last six, and the draws tell you more than the wins do. A 0-0 at home to Crystal Palace on 20 September, 20 days before this match, followed 1-1 away to Brighton & Hove Albion and 1-1 at home to Brentford.

Then there is the other Leeds. They beat Newcastle United 4-1 at home on 14 September and won 2-0 away at Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup, but were taken apart 3-6 away to Chelsea in the same competition on 9 September.

Eleven goals scored and nine conceded across six games, three of which finished level. Farke's team are either locking the thing down or in a shootout, and there is not much in between.

Team news: Arsenal and Leeds United injuries

Arsenal are without William Saliba, who has a back fracture and is targeting a November return, while Kai Havertz is out with a hamstring problem that could keep him out for up to four weeks and Christos Tzolis faces two to three weeks with a hamstring injury of his own, according to Rotowire. Ezri Konsa is a doubt after England sent him back for assessment with a quad issue.

The better news is at the back. Ben White has returned to training and is expected to be available, with Piero Hincapié and Cristhian Mosquera both back on the grass and closing in, as reported by Last Word on Sports. Havertz's strain is understood to be a light-grade muscle injury, which Kitman Labs' Stephen Smith put at two to four weeks in comments carried by CaughtOffside.

Leeds have longer-term problems. Joe Rodon is not expected back from a hamstring injury until November and Mateo Joseph remains out with a knee issue, with Harry Wilson facing a late fitness test on a thigh problem picked up on international duty, per Sports Mole. Jean-Matteo Bahoya limped off with an ankle injury against Luxembourg and Dan James is a doubt after Wales manager Craig Bellamy said the recovery between games had not been long enough for him, with Yahoo Sports reporting as many as five players could miss out.

Arsenal vs Leeds United prediction

Arsenal to beat Leeds United 2-1 in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 10 October 2026.

The two runs cross at Chelsea and Brighton, and they split the argument. Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 while Leeds were losing 3-6 to them; Leeds drew 1-1 at Brighton, where Arsenal lost 0-3. Take the pair together and you get a Leeds side capable of frustrating good teams for 90 minutes and an Arsenal side whose only wobble in six games came against one specific opponent.

Leeds have drawn three of six for a reason. This should be a narrow one.

Our prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Leeds United
