What is CalledItMate?

CalledItMate is a free live football prediction game. You predict goalscorers, correct scores and key match moments across the world's biggest leagues - in real time, as the action happens. There are multiple prediction markets: some lock in before kick-off, others are live in-play markets that reset as the match unfolds and give you new prediction windows right up until the final whistle. The goalscorer market is the clearest example - it's a rolling market, so you call who scores next, and the moment that goal goes in the market resets and a fresh window opens for the goal after it. One match can give you six or seven separate calls. New markets are added as the platform grows. Points are awarded the instant the game confirms your call - not at full time, not the next day, the actual second the event happens. Your points build up across all matches you play and count toward your position on the seasonal leaderboard. The top 3 players at the end of each monthly season win real cash prizes. No entry fee, no deposit, no subscription - completely free to play from start to finish.

Is it free to play?

Yes - completely free. There is no entry fee, no subscription and nothing to pay at any stage. You create a free account, start making predictions, earn points and compete for prizes. Paid-entry leaderboards with bigger prize pools are planned for the future, but they'll sit alongside the free leaderboard rather than replace it - the free game stays free, and joining a paid board will always be your choice.

How do I sign up?

Hit the Join Free button on any page and create an account with your email. The whole process takes under a minute. Once you're in you have access to every enabled fixture across every supported league.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes - the CalledItMate Android app is live on Google Play. Grab it at calleditmate.com/app or search "CalledItMate" on the Play Store. An iOS app is on the way - until then, iPhone users can play in full at calleditmate.com in the mobile browser, with no install required.

Predictions & Points

How do predictions work?

CalledItMate has three prediction markets. The pre-match markets - Correct Score - lock in before kick-off, with second-half lines locking at half-time. Goalscorer and Next Team to Score are rolling in-play markets that reset after every goal, so you can keep calling what happens next. Points are credited the instant the game confirms your call - not at full time.

What is a goalscorer prediction?

Goalscorer is a rolling in-play market. Before each goal you pick which player you think scores next. Lock in your call from the listed players for either team. If that player scores, you earn points - and how many depends on the scorer's position, since rarer scorers pay more: goalkeeper 75, defender 45, midfielder 25, forward 20. Once a goal goes in, the market resets and a new prediction window opens for the next goal. The earlier you get your call in before a goal happens, the better. Own goals never count as a goalscorer - the round is not settled on one, so nobody wins or loses it and your pick carries over to the next genuine goal. If your pick is subbed off before the next goal you'll get a free re-pick - but if your pick is sent off, that's final: you do not get another re-pick that round, and a sent-off player can no longer be picked.

What if I pick a goalscorer and he doesn't start?

It depends on whether he made the matchday squad at all. If your pick is named among the substitutes, your pick stands - subs score all the time, so there's no reason to take it off you. If he's left out of the squad completely, the pick is handed back and it doesn't use one of your daily picks. Either way we tell you as soon as the confirmed teamsheet lands, usually about an hour before kick-off, so you can change your call while there's still time. Goalscorer picks stay changeable right up until kick-off, and once the match is live they stay open until the next goal goes in.

Do own goals count for goalscorer predictions?

Not in the Goalscorer market. An own goal never counts as a goalscorer, which is the standard rule across every next-goalscorer market anywhere: the player did not score for his own side, so no goalscorer pick can win on it. It is not settled as a loss either. Your goalscorer pick is left exactly as it was and carries over to the next genuine goal, so an own goal landing while your call was in costs you nothing - you simply keep it running. Next Team to Score is a separate market and it does settle on an own goal, credited to the team the goal was awarded to, because that market is about which side scores rather than who put the ball in. So one own goal can settle your Next Team to Score pick and leave your Goalscorer pick running at the same time. That is not a contradiction, they are two different markets being judged on two different things.

Do I get free goalscorer picks?

Yes. Call the first goalscorer of a match correctly and your next goalscorer pick on that match is free - it doesn't use one of your daily picks. It keeps being free for as long as you keep calling them right, and the run only ends when you actually get one wrong. Missing a goal doesn't end it - if you don't pick on one, your run just carries on at the next goal. Own goals don't break the run, because they never settle the goalscorer market in the first place. And whether a pick was free is decided the moment you make it, so if a goal is later ruled out by VAR you never get a free pick taken back off you afterwards. Free picks only apply to normal matches - on bonus and featured matches every pick is already free.

How is the first goalscorer bonus calculated (double & triple)?

Your base points for a correct goalscorer pick depend on the scorer's position - rarer scorers pay more: forward 20, midfielder 25, defender 45, goalkeeper 75.First-scorer bonusWhen you've correctly called the first goalscorer, that base doubles each goal he goes on to score, capping at a hat-trick. Using a forward (base 20) as the example:

It stops there - a 4th goal adds nothing. The same multipliers apply to every position, just off a higher base: a defender (45) called as first scorer would pay 45 / 135 / 315, and a 2× bonus match doubles the lot.Didn't call him first?Picking the scorer for a later goal just pays his flat position base - the doubling bonus only kicks in when he was your first-goalscorer pick.

What is the Weekly Boost and when does it reset?

The Weekly Boost is a 3× points multiplier you can activate on a single upcoming match once a week. Your correct score and first goalscorer picks for that match then earn triple the usual points.When it resetsIt runs on a fixed weekly clock that's the same for everyone: your boost resets at the start of each week - Monday, 00:00 UK time - not seven days after you last used it. That means whether you spend yours on Monday or Saturday, you're never punished for using it later in the week: everyone gets a fresh boost every Monday. What is a prediction streak and how does it work?

A prediction streak counts the days in a row you've made at least one prediction. Predict on any match, in any market, at least once between midnight and midnight UK time and your streak grows by a day - and pays a daily bonus.The daily bonus ramps up+10 on Day 1, then +15, +20, +25, +30, +40, and +50 every day from Day 7 onwards. The bonus caps at +50 but the streak number itself keeps growing forever.Prize board vs prestigeThe daily bonus counts toward the current season's prize leaderboard, up to a per-season cap (default 750). Once you hit the cap, daily bonuses still grow your all-time total and flame badge - they just stop topping up prize points. The milestones at 7, 30, 50, 100 and 365 days pay one-off prestige bonuses (+50 / +250 / +500 / +1000 / +2500) with a full-screen celebration, but they're all-time only and never touch the cash race.Fair by designEmpty-day forgiveness means your streak won't break on a day there was genuinely nothing to predict (an international break, a quiet Monday). What is the CalledItMate wheel?

What's on there:

Points land on your total straight away. The resets arrive as awards and sit on the Awards page until you use them, so you can save one for a day it actually helps - but they expire after 7 days, so don't sit on them forever.

During the final week of a season the points prizes come off the wheel, same as the share reward, so a spin can't swing the title race. The perks all stay in.

The £10 is real. It's also extremely rare - if you land it, message support in the Help section and we'll sort it out.

Everything the wheel has ever given you is listed underneath it, so you can always check back.

Do I get anything for sharing a pick?

Yes - 100 points for sharing a pick. It doesn't have to be a winner, so share your call before kick-off if you fancy it.

It's once per rolling 7 days, not once per share. Share as often as you like; the points just won't come round again until the week is up. You'll see the +100 on the Share Your Call button whenever it's actually available to you, so you never have to guess.

One exception: points are paused during the final week of a season. Sharing still works, it just doesn't pay - that keeps the run-in to the cash prizes clean.

What is a correct score prediction?

You predict the exact final scoreline of the match - for example, 2-1 to the home side. It has to be locked in before kick-off; once the match starts, the market closes. It pays on two tiers: get the exact score right and you're paid the exact-score points plus the correct-result points added together, and even if the scoreline is wrong you still earn the correct-result points as long as you called the right winner (or the draw). So predicting 2-1 in a match that finishes 3-1 is still worth something. It's the highest-paying market on CalledItMate.

What is Next Team to Score?

Next Team to Score is a rolling in-play market. Before each goal you predict which side scores next - home or away - regardless of which player. Once a goal goes in, the market resets and you can make a new call for the next goal. Unlike the Goalscorer market, own goals do count here: the goal is credited to the team it was awarded to, because this market is about which side scores rather than who put it in. It's quicker than naming an individual goalscorer and earns a separate points bonus each time you get it right.

Why is there a short delay before my live pick counts?

On the two live “call the next goal” markets - goalscorer and next team to score - every pick you place while the match is in play is held for a few seconds before it counts. You'll see a short “locking in” countdown on your pick. If a goal is scored during that window, your pick is voided and refunded: no points won or lost, and it doesn't use one of your daily picks. Live goals reach different screens (TV, streams, data feeds) at slightly different times, so this small buffer keeps things fair for everyone - it means nobody can call a goal that has effectively already happened on a faster feed.

When do I get my points?

Points are awarded in real time - the moment the match event happens and your call is confirmed correct. You don't wait for full time. A correct goalscorer call earns points as soon as that goal is registered. A correct final score earns points when the match ends. You can watch your total update live.

Can I predict after kick-off?

It depends on the market. Most must be locked in before kick-off - Correct Score, First Half Result, Highest Scoring Half, the first-half Corners and Shots on Target lines, Most Possession and First Team Booked. Second Half Result and the second-half Corners and Shots lines lock at half-time. Goalscorer and Next Team to Score are live in-play markets that stay open throughout the match - they reset after every goal, giving you new prediction windows right up until the final whistle.

What happens if a match is postponed or abandoned?

If a match is called off before it starts, we remove it from the site completely, so don't panic if a fixture you had picks on vanishes. Nothing is lost: your picks on it are voided, you don't gain or lose any points, and those picks are handed straight back to your daily limit to spend on another match. You'll get a notification in your bell explaining what happened. We check for cancellations up to 21 days ahead, and again every few minutes in the last hours before kick-off, so late call-offs get caught too. If a match is abandoned mid-game, we update the match status and handle predictions fairly based on what had already been resolved.

Removing Picks

Can I remove a pick after I've placed it?

Yes - as long as you placed it today. Every pick from today has a red remove option, usable right up until that match kicks off, and the daily pick comes straight back. Picks from an earlier day can't be removed, but you can still change them any time before kick-off.

Why does someone else have far more pending predictions than me?

Because the daily limit caps how many picks you place per day, not how many can sit pending at once. There are a few ways a big stack builds up:

Stacking future matches. The most common one. Someone using their allowance every day on fixtures weeks out will have dozens of open predictions, while someone who only plays today's games has a handful. Same allowance, different habit.

Bonus matches are free. Picks on them never touch your daily limit, so a player working through the bonus matches can place plenty more without using anything up.

Same-day picks can be swapped. Remove a pick you placed today and it returns to today's allowance to spend elsewhere, so someone active can work through more of the card. (Picks from earlier days can't be removed - only changed.)

Awards. Winning Reset Daily wipes the picks you've used that day and hands you a full set back.

None of it is an unfair advantage - everybody gets the same allowance every single day.

Can I only remove picks I placed today?

Yes. Anything you placed today can be removed right up until the match kicks off, and the daily pick goes straight back for you to use on something else.

Older picks can't be removed. That pick was charged to the day you placed it, so handing the slot back today would be creating a pick out of nothing - and if everyone did it on repeat, the daily limit would stop meaning anything.

You can still change an older pick though, any time before kick-off - pick a different scoreline, a different scorer, whatever. Changing never costs you another pick.

So: same day, remove it or change it. Older, change it.

I removed a pick from a match weeks away - where did my pick go?

It goes onto today's allowance.

A pick is charged to the day you place it. So if you banked a pick on a match three weeks out, that pick came out of that day's eight, and that day is long gone. Removing it used to give you nothing back today, which looked broken even though the sums were right.

Now every pick you remove is worth one extra pick today, on the same market, no matter when you originally placed it.

Those extra picks expire at midnight UK time. They do not roll over - use them the same day or you lose them.

One exception: removing a pick from a bonus match gives you nothing, because picks on bonus matches never used your allowance in the first place.

Not seeing the pick back yet? Your counter should update the moment you remove it, but if it still shows you as maxed out, pull to refresh or reload the page and it'll be there. The pick is already back on your account either way - it's only the number on screen that can lag.

Bonus Matches & Awards

What is a bonus match?

A bonus match is a fixture with something extra on it. The main thing to know is that picks on a bonus match are free - they never use your daily limit, however many you place. On top of that, some bonus matches multiply the points on offer for correct score and goalscorer, and some run their own match leaderboard with a prize for whoever tops it.

A match became a bonus match after I'd already picked it - am I out of pocket?

No, you're made whole automatically, and you'll get a notification telling you so.

Picks: the moment a match becomes a bonus match, every pick already on it stops using your daily limit - so those slots come straight back. Anything you placed on an earlier day is added to today's allowance instead, and expires at midnight UK time.

Weekly boost: if you'd spent your boost on that match, you get it back to use somewhere else. Boosts can't be used on bonus matches, so leaving yours stuck on one wouldn't be fair.

Why can't I use my weekly boost on some matches?

The weekly boost can't be used on a bonus match. Those already carry extra points or a prize of their own, so a boost on top would stack two rewards on one fixture. If a match becomes a bonus match after you've boosted it, your boost comes back automatically.

How do match leaderboards work?

Some matches run their own mini leaderboard, ranking everyone by the points they score on that match alone - nothing else counts toward it. Whoever finishes top wins whatever that match is offering, and that's shown on the match page before kick-off so you always know what you're playing for. It settles automatically a few minutes after full time.

What if several people tie at the top of a match leaderboard?

It depends what the match is offering.

A points multiplier goes to everyone who ties. There's no split and nobody misses out - if four of you finish level, all four get the multiplier.

A perk (Reset Boost, Minus Opp, Reset Daily, Mystery) is shared by two players if two tie. But if three or more finish level, the perk is void and nobody gets it - a single perk can't be split sensibly across a crowd.

What are Awards and how do they work?

Awards are perks you win by topping a match leaderboard. They don't fire straight away - they land in your Awards page and you choose when to spend them.

Reset Boost - hands your weekly boost straight back, so you can use it again the same week.

Reset Daily - wipes the picks you've used today. Full set back, on every market.

Minus Opp - takes a set number of points off any other player on the season leaderboard. You pick the target.

Mystery - you find out when you open it. It resolves at random to one of the three above, never to a points bonus.

Awards don't last forever - the expiry is on the card, so spend them before then.

Leaderboard & Seasons

How does the leaderboard work?

Every point you earn from predictions across all matches counts toward your season total. The leaderboard ranks all players by their total points for the current season. It updates in real time - make a correct call on a live match and your rank can move instantly.

What is a season?

A season is a set competition period, typically one month. At the end of the season the leaderboard is locked, winners are identified and prizes are paid out. A new season then begins and everyone starts from zero. Season start and end dates are always visible on the Prizes page.

Why can't I predict on some upcoming matches yet?

Some fixtures kick off after the current season has ended - which means they belong to the next season, not this one. Until that season starts, the prediction markets on those matches stay hidden and the match shows a countdown to when predictions open. This keeps every match's points inside the correct season's prize race, so nobody can bank points early for a season that hasn't begun yet. As soon as the new season starts, those markets open up as normal.

Is there a minimum predictions requirement to qualify for prizes?

No. There's no minimum. Finish in the top 3 on points and you win a prize, however many predictions it took you to get there.

Someone has fewer wins than me but is above me - how?

Because the leaderboard ranks points, not wins. Your win/loss record isn't the currency - it's just a tally.

Markets pay differently. A correct score is worth far more than next team to score, and a goalkeeper scoring pays more than a forward. A few big calls beats a pile of small ones every time.

And plenty of points have nothing to do with wins at all:

the weekly x3 boost · bonus matches with multiplied points · topping a match leaderboard · Awards · daily streak bonuses · sharing a pick · the weekly wheel · the signup bonus.

So two players with the exact same number of wins can be hundreds of points apart, and someone with fewer wins can sit well above you.

Which is why trying to work your position out mathematically from wins and losses won't come out right - there are too many moving parts feeding the total. Your points breakdown is on your profile if you want to see exactly where yours came from.

What happens if two players finish level on points?

Tied players share the prize money for the places they cover. The pot for those places is added together and split equally, and the places below are untouched. So on a 125 / 75 / 50 split, two players level at the top share first and second - that's 200 between them, 100 each - and third still gets their 50. Three level at the top would share all three places. The exact amounts change every season, so check the Prizes page for the current pot, but the rule is always the same. One thing that catches people out: the leaderboard still shows one of you above the other, because a table has to put somebody first. That order is decided by who got to the total earliest, and it affects the display only - never the money.

Can I see my own prediction history?

Yes - your prediction history is available in your account. You can see every call you've made, which ones were correct, and how many points each earned.

Prizes & Payments

What prizes can I win?

The top 3 players on the seasonal leaderboard win real cash every month. The prize pool varies by season, so the exact amounts for the current season are always shown on the Prizes page. CalledItMate is free to play - there's no entry fee.

How are the monthly season winners paid?

For the monthly season leaderboard, winners are contacted directly by CalledItMate once the season closes, and payment is made within 7 days of the season finishing. That short window matters: it lets us double-check every point accumulated across the season so the final leaderboard is 100% accurate and fair before any prize is paid out. We'll reach out to the top 3 and arrange payment in whatever way works best for you - PayPal, bank transfer, crypto (USDT), or another method you prefer. No vouchers, no platform credits, just a direct payment to you. (One-off match leaderboards work differently - see below - and any cash prize on those is paid instantly, right after the match.)

Do some matches have their own leaderboard or prize?

Yes. As well as the monthly season leaderboard, we sometimes run a leaderboard on a single match - you're ranked against everyone else by the points you earn on that one game, and it's shown right on the match page.Cash or pointsThe reward varies by match. Sometimes it's a cash prize for the winner of that match (you'll see "Winner gets £X" on the leaderboard), and sometimes it's a points reward instead - for example the winner's points from that match tripled. Where does the prize money come from?

Prize money comes directly from Denver - the developer and football YouTuber behind CalledItMate. It's a personal investment in the community he's spent five years building through live football watchalongs - there's no big backer, no investors, just someone who genuinely loves the game and wants to make watching it more rewarding. The longer-term goal is to bring in sponsors and introduce optional paid-entry leaderboards, which would allow much bigger prize pools. Until then, the prizes are funded by Denver himself and paid directly to winners each season.

Do I have to stake any money?

No. You never stake anything. There's nothing to deposit and nothing to lose - you predict, you score points, and the top 3 each season are paid a cash prize out of the prize pool.

Which leagues are covered?

CalledItMate covers a huge range of competitions - from the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 through to domestic cups, lower divisions and leagues from around the world. Who built CalledItMate?

CalledItMate was built by Denveloper - a developer and football content creator on YouTube with almost 60,000 subscribers, who has been running live football watchalongs for the past five years. CalledItMate grew out of that community and is built and maintained as a solo project, combining professional software development skills with a genuine love of the game.

Will CalledItMate stay free?

Yes. The prediction game itself will always be free to play. Optional paid-entry leaderboards with larger prize pools are planned for the future, and sponsorship may come in too - but those are additions. The core experience of making predictions, earning points and competing on the free leaderboard stays free.

I found a bug or have a suggestion. How do I get in touch?

Use the Help section. It opens a private thread between you and Denveloper, so nothing gets lost in a busy chat and you can come back to the reply whenever you like. Bug reports, feature requests and general feedback are all welcome - CalledItMate is actively developed and every message gets read.
