Is CalledItMate legit, or a scam?

Last updated:

Short answer: it's legit, and you never pay anything to play, so there's nothing for anyone to take from you. But you shouldn't just take my word for it, so here's who I am, how it works, and how you can check every part of it yourself.

Denver Jackson (Denveloper), founder of CalledItMate

Who runs it

I'm Denver Jackson, a football fan from Bolton. I run the Denveloper football channel on YouTube, where around 60,000 people subscribe and I've hosted live match watchalongs for years. You can see me there, live.

CalledItMate started on those streams. The chat would fill with predictions, and by full-time nobody could remember who had called what, so I built a proper game for it. I built it myself and launched it on 21 March 2026.

Think about it this way: my name, my face and a channel I've spent years building are all attached to this. I'm not going to risk that reputation on something dodgy.

You never pay anything

There's no entry fee, no subscription, no deposit and no card details, ever. You sign up free, make your predictions, and that's it. Because no money ever comes from you, there's nothing to lose.

So where does the prize money come from?

From me. I fund the prizes out of my own pocket, because a game is more fun when there's something real to play for. The top two of each week win cash.

Has anyone actually been paid?

Yes. £1,300 has been paid to players so far, across 12 prize rounds, and every winner has been paid. Winners are contacted directly once the week closes and paid within 7 days, by PayPal, bank transfer or crypto. You can see the prize history on the prizes page.

What other people say

Players have reviewed CalledItMate on Trustpilot, an independent site I can't edit.

The app is also on Google Play, which reviews every app it lists.

Why do some "scam checker" sites flag it?

Automated checkers like ScamAdviser score websites with a robot, not a person. They mark a site down for being new (CalledItMate launched in 2026), for using the standard privacy setting on its domain registration (which stops spammers getting the owner's home address), and for having low traffic compared with big sites. None of that is a complaint from a real player. If you've had a problem, I'd genuinely like to hear about it: email me and I'll sort it.
