Burnley vs Wolverhampton Wanderers prediction, form, team news and kick-off time for Friday's Championship fixture at Turf Moor.

Burnley have scored in every one of their last six matches and still cannot win at Turf Moor. Wolverhampton Wanderers have kept two clean sheets in the same stretch and barely score at all. Friday night's Championship meeting is a straight collision between those two problems, and the side that solves its own first takes the points.

Why Burnley have not won at Turf Moor

Burnley have won none of their last three home games, drawing 2-2 with Charlton Athletic three days before this fixture, drawing 1-1 with Derby County and losing 1-2 to Bristol City. Nicky Hayen's side have been better on the road, where they won one of three.

That away win was emphatic. Burnley won 4-0 at Watford six days before this match, and it remains the clearest 90 minutes they have produced in this run.

Across those six games Burnley took 6 points from one win, three draws and two defeats, scoring 10 and conceding 9. They have failed to score in none of the six. They have also conceded two or more in three of them, and there were three or more goals in the game in four of six, with both sides scoring in five. Entertaining, then, and leaky.

The last time these two met, on 24 May 2026, Burnley drew 1-1 with Wolverhampton at Turf Moor in the Premier League - 145 days before Friday night.

Wolverhampton cannot find a goal

Wolverhampton Wanderers have scored five goals in their last six matches and reached two or more in only one of them, failing to score twice. Cesar Peixoto's side have 7 points from that run: two wins, one draw, three defeats.

Both wins were 1-0, at home to West Bromwich Albion and away at Sheffield United. That is the version of Wolves that works - two clean sheets, nothing given away, one goal enough.

The other version has been visible lately. Wolves lost 0-1 away to Middlesbrough six days before this match, then lost 1-3 at home to Bolton Wanderers three days before it. Away from Molineux they have won one of four.

Team news

Burnley will be without Anel Ahmedhodzic, who is in concussion protocol for 12 days, while Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer, Bashir Humphreys, Hannibal Mejbri, Aaron Ramsey, Mike Tresor, Shurandy Sambo and Michael Obafemi all remain sidelined, and Josh Cullen, Jaydon Banel and Ashley Barnes are nearing returns without being ready for Friday, according to Hayters. Hayen said the squad situation is now an opening for others: "Now it's for other players to take their chance, they're waiting and working hard to get their chance," he told Burnley FC. Wolverhampton confirmed that Raul Jimenez is having surgery on his left MCL and faces around three months of rehabilitation, with Rodrigo Gomes carrying low-grade ankle ligament damage, Bertrand Traore managing a hamstring problem and Boubacar Traore working back from a calf issue, per Wolves and The72. Adam Armstrong has also been ruled out with a back problem, the Express & Star reported.

Burnley vs Wolverhampton prediction

Burnley should edge this Championship fixture at Turf Moor, and a 2-1 home win is the read: Burnley have scored in all six of their recent matches, while Wolverhampton Wanderers have managed five goals in the same number and have won one of four away.

Burnley's home record is the obvious hole in that argument, and the 1-1 draw between these sides in May says the margins are thin. But Wolves need a low-scoring game to win, and Burnley keep refusing to give them one - three or more goals in four of the last six tells you where this is heading.
