Roma edged out Lecce 1–0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening to claim all three Serie A points in a hard-fought contest that was ultimately decided by a single moment of quality. The hosts dominated much of the first half without converting their pressure, with Lecce content to sit deep and frustrate on the counter, but the game shifted decisively in the 57th minute when Robinio Vaz latched onto a loose ball inside the area and drove a low finish past the Lecce goalkeeper to break the deadlock.
