Barcelona's start to the season

Hansi Flick's side have won all four of their league games, and three of them finished with five goals for Barcelona. Elche were beaten 5-0 on 23 August, Rayo Vallecano 5-2 on 31 August, and Valencia 5-0 on Saturday. In between came a 2-0 win over Athletic Club.

Barcelona are without Frenkie de Jong and Roony Bardghji, both with knee injuries, and Eric Garcia is suspended after a ban carried over from last season. Jules Kounde is expected to cover at right-back. Jesse Bisiwu is back in training after a contusion but remains a doubt. Gavi, who went off with a knee injury against Elche on 23 August, was an unused substitute at Valencia and is in contention for a first appearance since.

Feyenoord's problems are in defence. Jordan Bos and Jakub Moder are out with knee injuries, Gijs Smal has an ankle problem and Bart Nieuwkoop is missing with a muscular injury. Thomas Beelen, still recovering from the broken leg he suffered in July 2025, was left out of the club's Champions League squad. UEFA's own matchday preview lists Anis Hadj Moussa as doubtful.
